There is no King's shooting without a proper bird.

It must be in wood, the size of a thumb. It must show its throat and have the wings against the body.
A shoot is only validated if the bird is clearly hit in the body.
This bird is dreadfully difficult to see from 50 m. Fortunately it is placed in the middle of the face.
Sometimes, a ring of the same size may replace the bird. In that case, the winner is the archer who shoots an arrow in the ring.
